At this location the attention is drawn to strongly bleached samples of chert and petrified wood. Like other gravel pits in the region, this one consists of glacial sands and gravel with silicites most probably of Rotliegend origin, among others. Beyrichia limestone and an Echinocorys sea urchin give evidence of the glacial connection. Unfortunately, the yield is poor at this locality.
